The so called „Florentiner Kabinett“ or "Florentine Cabinet" in Favorite Palace - completely preserved in its original form - is singular in Europe. 758 plates decorate the walls. The 55 most valuable originate from Florence - giving the room its name. They are made out of „Commesso“, an expensive handicraft technique for precious stones: polished small pieces from multi colored marble, granites and precious stones were combined together and inserted into a stone ground. Until today the plates enthuse the visitors with their glossy colors and the perfection of the handicraft technique.
