Faiences and dishes on display. Room is located in the ground floor of Favorite Palace.
Two kitchens were set up on the ground floor of Favorite Palace. These are the functional kitchen under the apartment of Margrave Ludwig Georg, Sibylla Augusta's son, and the display kitchen under her own rooms. In this "pretty" kitchen and the adjacent "Kuchelgewölb" (kitchen vaulting), the Margravine presented her rich collection of faiences, stoneware, copper, brass and tin dishes.
Although the hearth was part of the equipment of the magnificent kitchen, it was not used for cooking. These rooms were only intended to awaken the impression of a working area of the sovereign, who displayed her feminine virtues of diligence, cleanliness and tidiness here.
